Job Summary
As a member of the individual giving team, the Donor Experience Officer is a results-driven, strategic, and digital-savvy fundraiser focused on enhancing the donor experience and advancing Endicott's mission. This role involves building and nurturing long-term relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring personalized and meaningful engagement.
Key Outcomes
Donor Portfolio Management and Acquisition
- Create personalized connections with approx. 500 donors at one time, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Utilize data and insights to identify, qualify, and prioritize donors based on their giving potential and interests.
- Identify and qualify new prospects by monitoring giving reports, data sources, and tools, such as daily gift logs, highly-rated prospects, past donors, and leaders within relevant organizations.
- Communicate effectively by developing tailored, compelling messages across multiple channels (digital, print, in-person) to inspire support for Endicott’s initiatives.
- Regularly update and maintain accurate department CRM/database records to ensure effective prospect pipeline management, preparing for pipeline reviews and status updates on donor interactions.
- Retain and upgrade loyal and mid-level annual donors.
- Proactively follow up with engagement opportunities by contacting potential attendees, ensuring timely responses, and maximizing participation. This includes reaching out to invited donors, prospects, and influencers to confirm attendance, answer any questions, and reinforce the importance of their presence at events.
- Plan and execute targeted outreach to Endicott influencers, alumni, parents, and other key donor segments, tailoring messaging based on their interests, giving history, and other relevant attributes.
- Work closely with individual gift officers to move prospects toward a contribution.
- Attend prospect strategy meetings to advance donors through the fundraising pipeline, ensuring they are qualified or disqualified for major solicitations.
- Participate in team meetings to provide updates on donor engagement and interests, ensuring effective communication across departments.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall mission of the Advancement Office.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, business development, fundraising, stewardship, or donor relations, preferably in higher education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, database and project management software, and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn about and engage individuals
- Enthusiasm and willingness to make direct person-to-person requests for donations.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information meaningfully and efficiently.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including organizing and managing multiple complex relationships while moving toward a goal.
- Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills, including comfort with public speaking.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly understand and retain project and donor information.
- Must handle sensitive material confidentially.
- Strong skills in proofreading and editing skills, critical thinking, and commitment follow-through.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet shifting priorities.
