We are looking for an individual with experience in outreach and admissions and career placements for our Lead Outreach and Admissions / Career Placement Counselor position at our residential trade and education center.
Job Summary : Responsible for assisting the Manager of Outreach and Admissions / Career Transition Services functions, programs, activities, and related events, in compliance with the US Department of Labor, corporate, project, and other applicable regulations, policies, requirements, and mandates.
Duties :
- Develops meaningful relationships and partnerships with community leaders, community organizations, WIBs, Youth Councils, One-Stops, employers, and business partners.
- Maintains contact with appropriate Center staff, OA / CTS staff and contractors, and involves them in outreach and career transition communication activities as appropriate.
- Participates with the manager in ensuring that quality OA and CTS services and support are provided that enable the delivery of personalized admissions and career transition services leading to long-term employment earning growth, career progression, connectivity within communities, and further education for all eligible Job Corps applicants and students.
- Assists with the training and mentoring of the OA / CTS team.
- Assist in the development and execution of project plans, programs and activities related to WIA initiatives and DOL challenges.
- Ensures the implementation of a uniform system for reporting placement transactions and the provision of transitional support services.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation, verification, and reporting of career transitions services with specific attention to detail on the PRH mandates and quality control of all related actions and activities.
- Ensures that communications with parents, guardians, and Admissions Counselors are maintained regarding the resolution of applicant’s problems.

Education : Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications or closely related field and two years of related experience.
