Male Companion/Caregiver

This family is looking for a male caregiver to work Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Please be mindful of this when applying.

When helping our clients with their personal needs day to day, we take pride in our team because without them, we couldn’t fulfill the needs of our community. Our caregivers are the core to our business and we respect that.

We are looking for people who can relate to what we believe in- putting our best foot forward to provide services to patients who need them. We are currently providing the following services to our clients under the APD/Medicaid Waiver Program:

• Personal Supports
• Life Skills Development
• Respite Services

** This particular position is for Life Skills Development, also known as Companion Services. The majority of the companion hours will be done outside of the client's home and in his local community. **

• Must be willing to transport client in your personal vehicle within their local community.
• For example: visiting a local park to go for a walk, helping the client volunteer in their local community, visiting the library, going to the mall, going to the beach for a walk or, going out to lunch, etc.
• Must have reliable transportation, current vehicle registration, and vehicle insurance.
• Must be willing to transport client from their home, to their daily activities, and then back to their home.
• Experience with high functioning adults with special needs such as Autism or intellectual disabilities is preferred but depending on your experience, training can be provided.

Level II background (required- we can assist you with obtaining)

CPR and HIV/AIDS and Bloodborne pathogens certification (required - we can also assist you with obtaining)

Shifts vary. We are also hiring candidates looking to be on call.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
