Endless Summer Sweets in Berkeley, CA is looking for a Daytime Prep Cook to join the team. We are located on 2358 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley, CA 94704. Required shift Wednesday-Sunday from 8 : 30am-1 : 30pm (Monday and Tuesday off).

Responsibilities

Follow the prep list created

Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible

Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking

Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash.

Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

Perform other kitchen duties as assigned or needed

Requirements and skills

Food Prep experience is required

Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen

Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils

A team player with good communication skills

Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

Lift up to 30 pounds

Okay working independently

Available shifts and compensation : Available shifts all days except Mondays and Tuesdays. Compensation is $20.00 / hour.
