Job Description Summary
The Associate Director is responsible for managing the contract process and workflow for all terms and conditions. Accountable for the direction and the control from the beginning to end process of all negotiations internally and externally while conforming to all applicable company policies for both the Generic & Sterile Injectables business units. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing injectable pricing. The responsibilities include establishing, preparing, maintain, and analyzing contract pricing to ensure alignment with the business stakeholders.
Supports the Generic Sales and Sterile Injectable departments particularly with regards to contract management and Injectable pricing.
Job Description
- Meet with Executive Director, Contracts & Pricing as needed to review open terms and conditions for Endo Generics and Endo Injectable Solutions
- Meet with direct report daily to review open request for both Business Units
- Lead weekly Legal calls for both Business units
- Conducts premeeting with National account directors to fully understand the scope of the request
- Serve as a liaison and coordinates actions with internal cross-functional and legal teams, as needed during contract development, negotiation stages and monitor progress.
- Identifying the information needed for exhibits i.e. but not limited to return good policy, Chargeback policy, shipping information.
- Review request against the existing contract and provide a summary outlining what is being asked and how it differs from the current agreement,
- Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what's best for the company.
- Develop and implement standardized contract templates specific to Endo Generic & Sterile injectables, ensuring alignment with industry standards and mitigating risk across both BUs
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, including, senior management, and team members and provide regular updates on legal project status, risks, and issues, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Ensure contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations are tracked and met by all parties.
- Recognizes any changes that need to be made in contracts to mitigate organizational risks and assists with negotiations of those changes. i.e. initiate contract language updates
- Conduct regular contract audits and reviews to ensure compliance.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to contracts.
- Responsible for overall contract lifecycle management.
- Effectively prepares, monitors and executes all pricing activities (formal RFPs, pricing, product availability, rebates, incentives, contract loads, amendments etc.) using a cross-functional approach to ensure company policies and sales goals are met and maintained
- Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and analysis of customer pricing documentation, and for making recommendations that will facilitate optimal pricing decisions.
- Evaluates methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin through pricing strategies and competitive pricing and potential pricing change impact on customer's book of business.
- Compiles and maintains relevant competitive and pricing data utilizing external sources and internal systems.
- Hire, train, and manage performance of staff.
- Setting goals and objectives for individuals and teams.
- Identifying and evaluating employee training requirements.
- Conducting performance appraisals that define strengths, weaknesses, and career development needs.
- Delegating work duties to individual staff members.
