What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Call Center Associate position at Endocrine Specialists, PC?
Endocrine Specialists, PC is currently seeking a Call Center Associate who will be a friendly and helpful first contact for patients, pharmacies, and anyone else who may call our office. A successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively solving customer issues, complaints and inquiries; keeping patient needs at the core of every decision and behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage a high volume of inbound calls, ensuring timely responses.
- Appropriately triage incoming calls, effectively addressing caller needs and escalating issues as necessary.
- Assess patient requirements, clarify information, investigate issues, and provide viable solutions or alternatives.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Facilitate medication distribution.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
- Respond to messages and address voicemails promptly.
- Order laboratory tests as needed.
- Transfer calls to the appropriate personnel as required
Skills
- Strong customer service background
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
- Familiarity of basic computing and internet navigation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, manage time effectively, and stay organized
- High school diploma
