We are in search of a Dental Assitant who exhibits quality service, commitment, accountability and excellence. The dental assistant provides a variety of oral health clinical procedures that assist the endodontist in providing a supreme customer service experience. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, mindset and work ethic to maintain a timely schedule, warmly greet patients, ensure patient comfort and confidence in the services provided, stock supplies and keep the operatory sanitary. The ideal candidate will demonstratable professionalism, communication (verbal, written, and non-verbal) teamwork, and job knowledge. This position is in a dental practice setting that involves everyday risk or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in the dental office
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
