Position Summary: As a Dental Assistant Intern, you'll work closely with our expert team of endodontists and dental assistants, gaining hands-on experience in both clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities for Dental Assistant Interns:
- Shadow & Assist: Gain firsthand experience by assisting endodontists and dental assistants during various procedures, including prepping instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Sterilization & Infection Control: Learn and practice sterilization techniques to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our practice.
- Radiographs & Patient Care: Shadow the team in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and assist with patient care, including seating patients, recording medical histories, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Front Desk Support: Assist with essential front desk duties such as answering calls, verifying insurance, managing patient check-ins/outs, and maintaining a welcoming office environment.
- Clinic Organization: Help maintain an organized and stocked dental operatory, ensuring that everything is in place for smooth and efficient procedures.
What You’ll Bring:
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Dental Assisting program.
- Basic knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
- A strong attention to detail and a passion for learning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with our team.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and dental practice management software is a plus, but not required.
- CPR certification is a bonus, but not mandatory.
