Payor Relations Specialist – Remote Position

We are currently seeking a Payor Relations Specialist to join our team in a remote role. This position will play a critical role in managing relationships with insurance companies and third-party payers to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Payer Relations with data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Read, interpret, and comprehend contracts related to payer agreements.
- Deliver presentations to partner practices regarding payer processes and reimbursement.
- Collaborate effectively with EPP teams across various functions, including operations, billing, and revenue cycle management.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with payer representatives.
- Analyze reimbursement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as the point of contact for payers and internal stakeholders regarding reimbursement issues.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with EPP guidelines and payer agreements.
- Contribute to other team projects as needed, playing a key role in the success of the department.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with healthcare billing and coding processes.
- Ability to interpret complex contract language and legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience identifying trends and developing solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of EndoVision and the ability to run reports; TDO knowledge is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently with self-motivation and strong time management.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new payer processes and systems.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical or dental leadership role, preferably in payer relations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and payer interactions.
- Proficiency in data entry, analysis, and reporting.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity for reading records and documents.
