Position Summary:
We are looking for a Staff Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will be integral to supporting financial decision-making and driving data-driven strategies across the organization. The Staff Financial Analyst will focus on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and ad-hoc analyses to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
As part of the team, you will work under the supervision of the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, contributing to key financial functions, including cost control, budgeting, performance measurement, and financial analysis to support strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage detailed, flexible financial models to guide decision-making at all levels.
- Develop and implement reporting and analytics capabilities to track business performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling to support strategic initiatives.
- Manage financial performance against plan, investigate variances, and provide actionable insights.
- Identify and quantify risks and opportunities, offering solutions to improve financial projections.
- Analyze and maintain cost and performance baselines, including variance analysis and earned value trends.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, finance, or accounting from an accredited university.
- 0-2 years of experience, ideally in a finance-related role or high-performance environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to dive deep into complex data.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork.
- Results-driven mentality with a process-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive is a plus.
