What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager position at Endovascular Engineering?
SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing resources and manufacturing space for all device assembly activities in support of production goals, engineering goals (prototypes and design verification builds), and clinical goals (clinical trials and demo devices). In addition to managing resources, the ME Manager will also lead projects related to design transfer activities for new devices being transferred to manufacturing.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate resources and workflow to efficiently build devices to meet project goals. Initiate and close LHRs for device builds. Track and record production metrics (yield, throughput, labor times).Help configure the manufacturing line layout as processes change and evolve. Maintain manufacturing equipment
- Supervise manufacturing team members (engineers, technicians, assemblers)
- Lead key Ops projects : implement an ERP system; commercial packaging development and validation; accelerated aging studies; and similarly complex projects.
- Help with design control activities to transfer new devices from R&D to commercial manufacturing.
