What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class B CDL Truck Driver position at Endries?
Summary
A Delivery Driver – Class B is responsible for delivering product from an Endries' warehouse to the customer in a safe, timely, and professional manner. They will promote a work culture that represents the organization’s vison, mission, and values.
Essential Functions
- Operate company-owned and leased vehicles to safely deliver materials to and from customers
- Unload or assist in unloading material as required
- Follow assigned scheduling of delivery on-time and with accuracy
- Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits
- Follow proper procedures in delivering material, obtaining signatures, reporting accidents and record keeping
- Properly maintain vehicles
- Adhere to all DOT rules and regulations
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
- Support the warehouse fulfillment teams onsite when not making deliveries
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Skilled at driving large vehicles
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Innate sense of direction or proficient using GPS and other routing systems
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Ability to be trained on a forklift
Education and Experience
- 2 years proven driving experience
- Valid and unrestricted Class B commercial driver’s license required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment and on the road. This role mainly consists of driving, operating vehicles, and delivering product but also routinely uses equipment such as scanners, forklifts, utility knives, and tape guns.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly sitting and driving/operating a company vehicle. The employee will need to have the ability to move and lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis. This job will require the ability to push, pull, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach when necessary.
Travel
Local travel to customer locations will be required frequently. Some additional travel may be expected occasionally.
