Requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A is required.
- Experience: At least one year of recent and verifiable experience with tractor-trailers is mandatory.
- Medical Certification: Must possess a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
- Driving Record: No DUIs or failed drug tests/refusals in the past five years.
- Equipment Handling: Must be able to haul 53’ trailers.
- Navigation Skills: Ability to read and understand maps and GPS.
- Physical Requirements: Must be capable of performing the physical demands of the job.
- Weather Conditions: Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Hazmat: No hazmat endorsement is required.
- $5,000 Sign-On-Bonus
- The average driver earns $1,500 weekly.
Safely operate Class A heavy-duty trucks with large trailers to transport a diverse range of materials, including waste and recyclables, from transfer stations to landfills. Ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain a focus on efficiency and safety throughout the transportation process.
Job Duties:
Include but not limited to:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport loads from the transfer station to the landfill, prioritizing safety and adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
- Skillfully maneuver the trailer onto a tipper for unloading.
- Disconnect the trailer from the truck before tipping the load.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, utilizing the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for documentation.
- Promptly report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to the Operations Manager and Safety Manager.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
