Endurance Group is seeking a Budget Analyst - Senior to support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Fort Bragg, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive technical budget support and serve as a key resource for budgetary information across various appropriated and reimbursable accounts.
- Serve as a source of budgetary information for appropriated and reimbursable accounts, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Maintain an automated ledger and access to the Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System (SOMARDS) and the General Fund Enterprise Budgetary System (GFEBS).
- Assist in the development of the annual budget submission and collaborate with supported units to establish appropriate funding levels for the sustainment of fielded and new systems.
- Recommend alternative means of obtaining and using available funds, demonstrating thorough knowledge of established guidelines and procedures.
- Determine appropriate accounting classifications and appropriations to charge by object class, fiscal year, and element of resource, committing funds and ensuring timely recording of obligations.
- Provide financial execution of program-related work, including Reprogramming and Realignment Requests, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), and obligation plans.
- Process funding transactions through the Defense Travel System (DTS).
- Develop, coordinate, and track funding and budget activities in collaboration with the PMSP Resource Management section, Major Army Command (MACOM), and owning organizations.
- Utilize SOMARDS to research, maintain, update, and adjust financial data as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience; military experience preferred.
- Proficiency in the Defense Travel System (DTS) and familiarity with OMB financial reporting requirements.
- Working knowledge of Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative spirit.
- Mastery of personal computers, including extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
