Endurance Home Care
We are looking for a Care Professional ideally located in Stamford to provide care for a disabled teen with Rett Syndrome. The care mainly includes helping the teen with morning care (eating, brushing teeth, showering, getting on school bus), afternoon care (feeding them a snack after school, setting them up in front of a TV, making sure they use the bathroom) and evening care (toileting, brushing teeth, putting them to bed) some light housekeeping, amongst other responsibilities. This case offers 30-40 total hours per week. While individual shifts are short - the total number of hours are good and this case can last a very, very long-time.
Shifts are as follows:
Monday-Friday:
Morning: 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM (currently already staffed - but can discuss)
Afternoon: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Evening: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Weekends:
Morning: 7 AM - 9 AM
Afternoon: 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Evening: 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

After a processing period, caregiver employment will transition to the Department of Social Services (DSS).

Responsibilities
- Companionship, conversation and social interaction
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal preparation and grocery shopping
- Safety supervision and safe mobility assistance to help prevent falls
- Assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and incontinence care
- Client transportation for errands and appointments
- Medication reminders and assistance with filling prescriptions
- Following a care plan and daily and weekly reporting of notes and changes in health status to the Care Team
- Facilitating and managing medical appointments and other related health activities
- Monthly in-service trainings
Requirements / Preferences
- Upbeat, optimistic, compassionate, positive attitude and energetic
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a caregiver
- Legally authorized to work within the United States
- Bank account with direct deposit capabilities
- Ability to help lift and transfer clients who may require assistance
- No serious criminal offenses as confirmed by background check

Salary : $21
