Job Summary:

Maintenance Technician (Machine Repair & Conveyor Focus)

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong electromechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, automation systems, and facility equipment. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards by following lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and external contractors to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and parts usage.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in training programs to stay up to date with the latest industry standards and technologies

2. Mechanical Systems

  • Repair and replace gears, belts, bearings, chains, rollers, hydraulics, and pneumatics in conveyor and automation systems.
  • Align and adjust mechanical components to reduce friction, wear, and operational failures.

3. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and repair conveyor systems, automated machinery, and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to aid in troubleshooting and repairs.

4. Electrical & Automation Systems

  • Work with PLCs, sensors, motors, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), HMIs, and control circuits to troubleshoot and repair automation equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical components, and control systems in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Identify and correct electrical faults, shorts, and circuit failures to restore equipment functionality.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting conveyors, automation, and facility equipment.

· Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

· Experience with PLCs, VFDs, control circuits, and automation systems.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.

· Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.

· Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

· Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call duty as required.

Education & Certifications:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience in Industrial Maintenance, Machine Repair or Mechatronics.

· OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred).

· Forklift and aerial lift certification (a plus).

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

· Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

· Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and elevated platforms as needed.
