Project Manager 2 (InfoSec Engineer III/Security Administrator/Sec Spec III)
Position Overview:
Are you an experienced InfoSec professional with a passion for securing high-level systems and applications? We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager 2 to serve as an InfoSec Engineer III. With a minimum of 5 years' experience, you'll define security requirements for complex networks, systems, and applications in accordance with security plans, OMB directives, and Federal Government policies. This role also involves delivering security awareness training and managing a wide variety of project-specific tasks.
This position will start as 3 days a week in the office and will transition to 5 days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Strategy & Implementation:
- Define security requirements for high-level applications, networks, and systems.
- Design, develop, and implement security solutions to protect critical information assets.
- Technical & Infrastructure Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain security infrastructure, including RSA servers, firewalls, IDS, and VPNs.
- Provide in-depth expertise on tools such as Public Key Infrastructure.
- Project Coordination & Compliance:
- Gather and organize technical data related to organizational security needs and future initiatives.
- Respond to auditors regarding compliance with security policies, plans, and procedures.
- Training & User Support:
- Deliver security awareness training to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an InfoSec Engineer III or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Federal Government information security policies and regulatory directives.
- Proven expertise in security infrastructure management and security solution implementation.
- Excellent communication and training skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
