As Director of Substation Engineering, you will lead the engineering team in designing, analyzing, and optimizing Substation while managing projects from concept to commissioning. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, overseeing budgets and schedules, and integrating projects into broader energy infrastructure plans. You’ll also mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support cross-functional collaboration and project success. Other activities may include:
- Lead the engineering team in the design, analysis, and optimization of Substation
- Manage all phases of Substation projects, from conceptual design through construction and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross- functional teams to integrate Substation projects into overall energy infrastructure plans
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
- Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Typically has 10 years of experience in Substation engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of Substation design software and tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
