What responsibilities will I have in this role?  (including but are not limited to):

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and innovative team to evaluate and design power systems at power-generating facilities.
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines.
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
  • Prepare error-free engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to and bounded by industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety culture, and design techniques suitable to the nuclear industry.
  • Produce high-quality engineering deliverables in accordance with client and ENERCON Quality Assurance (QA) Programs that are consistent with project work scopes and client expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and communications and the development of quality engineering solutions. 
  • Travel to plant sites to interface with client personnel and to perform walk-downs of plant structures, systems, and components related to the project work.

 

What qualifications/skills will help you be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor’s in environmental science, engineering, or geology from an accredited university and minimum 1-2 years of design experience.
  • Construction, or related Sciences field AND a minimum of 1 year in environmental consulting and due diligence experience, including Phase I ESAs
  • Design modification experiences preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation of design calculations.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, willingness to participate in prototyping and testing, ability to create comprehensive design documentation preferred. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, presenting design proposals, and documenting design specifications preferred. 
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot design issues, propose solutions, and iterate on designs preferred. 
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

 

 

Job Description:

Our Environmental Services Group is currently looking for an Early Career-Due Diligence Services Tech to join the ENERCON Team with access to a major airport hub in the central United States. In this exciting role, you will lead Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and contribute to impactful projects, with a focus on large-scale wind and solar sites. You will help ensure compliance with ASTM, federal, state, and local regulations while analyzing environmental conditions and producing critical technical reports. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of renewable energy, with occasional overnight travel across the US to deliver results and make a lasting impact. 

 

Imagine a day where your work directly shapes the future of clean energy. You assess wind and solar sites, uncovering insights that drive sustainable progress. You will guide key decisions, helping protect the environment while powering tomorrow’s world. Duties will include:

 

  • Environmental Site Assessments & Reporting: Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and other diverse projects as needed. Perform site assessments on large wind/solar sites and write technical reports in compliance with ASTM, federal, state, and local regulations

 

  • Analysis & Recommendations: Formulate independent conclusions about the presence of environmental conditions. Provide defensible recommendations and solutions, considering the impact on potential business transactions

 

  • Confidentiality & Travel: Maintain confidentiality regarding property and client-sensitive information. Travel, including overnight, throughout the US as needed

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Property Condition Assessments and Phase II experience is a plus
  • Ability to complete multiple projects concurrently with varying scopes of work within short timeframes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Parcel platform
  • Ability to travel up to 40 - 60% of the time to client sites for walkdowns and back to the office to prepare reports

 Interview and Employment Requirements: 

  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation. 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
