Responsibilities

- Develop electric substation drawings, including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and physical drawings, such as plan views, elevation views, control panel layouts, control building layouts
- May perform substation design calculations and analysis such as ground grid analysis and design, lightning protection, voltage drop, DC battery, and AC station service sizing, CT saturation, protection, and coordination
- Work closely with the electrical analysis group to determine protective relaying settings
- Develop technical equipment and construction specifications and work scopes
- Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical designs that will meet client and industry standards and specifications while ensuring good engineering practices
- Provide on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering and design specific to the substation field with a consulting/engineering firm
- Experience with Microstation and AutoCAD
- Proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Windows
- Must be self-driven to organize time to follow schedules, meet deadlines, and provide accurate deliverables
- Must be willing to learn new skills on the job with assistance from the Senior Engineer, Supervisor, and others in the department
