ENERCON's Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Project Manager. In this role, you will lead the charge in crafting winning engineering proposals alongside our talented technical team, ensuring meticulous detail and innovation. Develop comprehensive project plans and enforce rigorous standards to drive success and exceed client expectations. From managing schedules and budgets to fostering client relationships and seizing new opportunities, this role is the ultimate blend of leadership, strategy, and technical expertise. This role can be based in one of the following locations :
Chattanooga, TN
- Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities

You're at the center of complex scheduling, managing client relationships, and driving project performance, all while overseeing quality, budgets, and timelines to deliver exceptional results and seize new opportunities.
Lead efforts while working with technical staff to develop winning, and highly detailed, engineering proposalsDevelop Nuclear Services Project Work Plans, Risk Management Plans, Communication Plans, Work Breakdown Structures and DictionariesEnforce internal and external work standards, schedules, supervising sub-contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinatesResponsible for development of project schedule, execution of schedule, reporting on schedule, preparing recovery schedules and rebaselining schedulesResponsible to managed matrixed technical staff to ensure client deliverables meet quality standards, schedules, technical requirementsUnderstand complex scheduling tools including earned value management and reporting processesFormulate / develop detailed internal and Federal reporting requirementsUnderstand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performanceFoster and maintain working relations with assigned clients, act as a single point of contact for assigned projectsManage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and the company's satisfactionSupport marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation and follow-upQualifications
Minimum of 8 years' experience in power generation or nuclear industries as an Engineer or Project ManagerBachelor's Degree in Engineering OR PMP Certification and 10 years' applicable experienceSkilled in cost / workhour estimating and proposal development and reviewCapable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneouslyKnowledge in earned value management, rules of credit, and progress reportingExperienced in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and reviewAbility to understand and work with budget and accounting processesStrong coordination and team building skillsExcellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skillsEffective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teamsWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a timeLI-SH7
