Summary:
The Operations Specialist is responsible for the supervision and direct involvement in the daily operation and maintenance of all equipment. Regular cadence of field and city visits to client using Salesforce platform and as directed by the Operations Manager and the sales team. All duties are to be performed according to the companies operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the shop, yard, and client work sites and to perform the tasks effectively and efficiently. Regarding the sales representative function, learn and apply functionality of the Salesforce tool to capture client / field visits with data.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to be self-motivated and work independently.
- Loading and unloading vessels in yard upon delivery or shipping out to client.
- Assisting employees in performing general maintenance duties.
- Perform and conduct service and maintenance, including cleaning of equipment, bolt-up and electrical system checks.
- Managing both shop and field operations, facilitating smooth communications between all staff.
- Working w/other sales personnel in the region, divide up responsibilities on field visits and city sales visits to collect data and feedback on the operation of our units.
- Communicates in a professional and respectful manner to clients, working to advance the company’s business opportunities.
- Purchasing and maintaining supplies and maintenance needs within allotted budgets. Following the proper procedures and working with the associated departments.
- Prioritizes personal workload.
- Maintains good communication and documentation with all departments, builds relationships internally and remains professional and supportive.
- Maintain predictable consistency in all elements of operational performance.
- Research and development of products and services as desired.
- Keeps accurate records and documentation relating to all duties, Salesforce expertise.
- Participates in continuing education in needed areas relating to the position.
- Assists in other related duties, as may be required from time to time.
- Compliance with quality and safety management requirements.
- Coordinating and working with 3rd party crews and contractors, ensuring maintenance is done safely and correctly both in our yard and on client worksites.
- Mobilization of units including commission testing and training to onsite workers.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to deal professionally with a wide range of personalities in a sales representative role
- Ability to diagnostic mechanical/equipment failure issues.
- Knowledge of electrical / hydraulic and mechanical systems a plus.
- Ability to multitask between jobs.
- Able to read, understand, and follow safety procedures & policies.
- Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to present self in a positive, professional manner to colleagues.
- Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw conclusions.
- Exceptional Communications skills. Require the ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from peers, managers, and dispatchers.
- Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.
- Experience operating equipment (skid steer, forklift, or loader)
- Ability to be self-motivated and work independently.
- Available to work after hours and weekends on an on-call basis.
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- 50% work in the shop / 50% work in the field
