Position Summary

As a Technology Engineer in Energizer’s Global Auto Care R&D Team, you will develop and/or improve consumer devices and mechanical systems for new or existing auto care products by collaborating with cross functional partners including marketing, procurement, operations, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading technical projects and a background related to new product development. Areas of product support include automotive air freshener products and development of fragrance delivery systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development of air freshener delivery systems products, working with internal cross functional team members as well as external design agencies and suppliers to deliver innovation to our brands
• Act as resident expert on air fresheners and work with procurement on long term sourcing strategies
• Deliver product innovation roadmap for air freshener related products
• Lead product improvement projects to realize cost, quality, performance, or supply benefits for existing products
• Develop working prototypes for concept development
• Plan, execute, analyze and summarize TPM trials working closely with Manufacturing, engineering, and production technical resources
• Define and conduct development testing to ensure readiness for production, distribution, customer and consumer fit for use
• Ensure product meets relevant national, international and industry standards
• Conduct engineering analysis using appropriate methods, such as calculation, testing or FEA
• Maintain accurate, complete and detailed records including product data sheets
• Support technical organization as needed to resolve consumer or production technical issues
  
  

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of product development and/or hands on project experience
  
  

What would we prefer

• Experience/aptitude with both chemical and mechanical systems, aerosol products, automotive systems and/or air freshener delivery systems
• Participate in teleconference meetings with global colleagues in different time zones

Total Rewards Package

The salary range for this position is USD $68,000.00/Yr. - USD $113,000.00/Yr.

Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
