The QA Engineer develops and executes test cases/scripts, ensuring software quality and has a passion to stay updated with industry’s best practices to continuously improve testing processes. Collaborate with teams to analyze results, identify defects, and implement solutions.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute test plans and cases
- Create and maintain automation scripts
- Identify hardware and firmware issues and help the engineering team solve those issues
- Contribute to improving the testing processes
- Writing test plans and test cases and automation of test cases using Python, along with Operating systems like Windows/Linux and VMware.
- Designing and executing test cases and test scripts to understand their functionality, usability, and performance, and helping the development team identify issues for correction.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
- At least 8 years of experience as a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer
- Knowledge of:
- Wi-Fi and BLE networks
- IoT devices and networking
- Python programming
- Creating detailed reports and graphs
- Knowledge of MATLAB scripting is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working on Hardware and Networking setup in lab is a plus.
- Expertise in Python for enabling solution testing via automation.
- Writing test plans and test cases and automation of test cases using Python, along with Operating systems like Windows/Linux and VMware.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in a manual software testing role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, organizational, and issue resolution.
- Great problem-solving skills and a keen interest in new technology
- Proficiency in creating test plans and defect tracking processes.
- Proficiency in performing regression, ticket, and performance testing preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
