Department : Commercial
Job Relationships : Supervised by Senior Project Manager
Supervises : Field Personnel & Subcontractors
Purpose : Ensure quality & cost-effective installation of the HVAC System
Responsibilities :
1. Set up job schedule
2. Preparation of submittals and shop drawings
3. Prepare material lists for shop fabrication and venders order misc. materials required for installation of HVAC system
4. Purchasing of bought items (assisted by Vice President)
5. Complete purchase orders and subcontracts. File in pending submittal book pending approval
6. Brief foreman on project and communicate daily on job progress and needs. Communicate weekly on individual performance of men.
7. Visit job on a weekly basis
8. Supervises Safety / Haz-com programs and quality
9. Attend project meetings as required
10. Maintain plans files and cut lists
11. Correspondence with general contractor and pricing for change orders required
12. Job close-out (operation and maintenance manuals / as builds / test & balance).
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years experience in trade. High School education or equivalent. in-depth knowledge of ductwork, air distribution and equipment installation. Ability to work without supervision. Good written and communication skills. Minimum of 1 year drafting and estimating experience.
Work Environment :
Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking and lifting weight of 50 lbs. Or more are required in daily performance of job. Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead in daily performance of job. Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing and pulling and material handling. Use of torso and lower extremities required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting and squatting.
