What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Loan Processor position at Energy Capital Credit Union?
The primary role of this position is to provide members with products and services to provide a positive impact on our members' financial well-being. To accomplish this, this position must deliver consistent, prominent levels of quality service and support to both internal and external members. Key components of this service are to provide clerical and administrative loan support to process consumer loans. This position will primarily be responsible for verifying member provided documents, preparing direct loan documents, conducting quality control of loan documents and funding of those completed loans. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations, policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Processes/funds all direct approved loan applications. Ensures loan documents and supporting documents meeting policy and procedures. Ensures outstanding loan stipulations are resolved prior to funding. Provides timely updates to Loan Consultant regarding status of loan application prior to funding.
- Assists Loan Consultant and Underwriters with member follow-up to gain clarification needed to finalize loan decisions.
- Processes loans that close via Premier Check. Works with dealerships, via phone and email communications, to ensure required documentation is received to approve check and close/fund loan.
- Satisfies stipulations and processes site drafts from dealers.
- Performs other lending duties and special projects as assigned.
- To provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members and ECCU employees.
- Fund direct loans within 1 business day of receipt of all documentation with no unresolved errors according to established department standards.
- Maintain and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union standards, policies, procedures including, but not limited to loan and Human Resources policies and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations. -Achieve a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail, resulting in low number of outstanding lien perfections, and prevention of online application fraud.

Desired candidate will

- Must be able to accurately and efficiently count money and make change.
- have a high school diploma or GED
- have a satisfactory credit history
- have basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
