Energy Electric is currently looking for Electrical Foreman to join our team to supervise electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. The primary role is to ensure that planning, layout, installation, and wiring electrical components are completed, as per project drawings, specifications and in accordance with applicable electrical codes. Applicants for this position are required to be licensed in at least one of MA/RI/NH.
Electrical Foreman Duties and Responsibilities
- Generates high quality work in alliance with the vision and mission of Energy Electric.
- Works to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project.
- Organizes and coordinates all project materials and equipment.
- Reads and interprets specifications, plans, and prepared sketches of proposed work as well as producing layout drawings and code calculations for projects.
- Analyzes and quickly resolves any work problems that may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner.
- Leads by example – sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work set forth by Energy Electric.
- Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transition.
- Work with Energy Electric’s Preconstruction Manager to produce prefabricated materials for efficient installations.
- Motivates, trains and inspires young electricians to grow within our team and our industry.
Electrical Foreman Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of (2) years of experience as a journeyman in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures using blueprints and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines and heavy equipment.
- Experience inspecting installation sites.
- Experience installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, wiring, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Experience studying building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
- Ability to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate to cause of breakdown and take appropriate steps to correct the problem.
- Ability to instruct and train workers to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Has a clear understanding of the latest edition of the NEC.
