About the Position

The Federal Director, Strategic Initiatives will play a key commercial role in driving growth, partnerships, and strategic initiatives within the federal market. This individual will work cross-functionally to develop and execute strategies that align with our corporate vision and expand our presence within government agencies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in federal procurement, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement and selling within the U.S. government

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow Energy Exemplar’s footprint within federal agencies.


• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances within the federal government.


• Lead engagement with key government stakeholders, decision-makers, and industry partners to drive awareness and adoption of our software solutions.


• Provide expert guidance on federal procurement processes, compliance requirements, and market trends.


• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product development, and marketing, to align federal initiatives with company objectives.


• Represent the company at federal industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.


• Develop high-impact presentations, proposals, and whitepapers to support business development efforts.


• Analyze and interpret policy and regulatory changes that may impact business opportunities within the federal sector

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).


• 10 years of experience in federal government strategy, business development, or related fields.


• Proven track record of sales success in leading strategic initiatives within the federal market.


• Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and procurement regulations.


• Strong network of relationships within federal agencies and industry partners.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.


• Experience with federal IT, software, or technology solutions is highly preferred.
