Our strategies for compensation and benefits are designed to support a culture of health and financial well-being that puts staff wellness at the forefront. U.S. Energy Foundation’s (EF) approach to employee compensation is designed to be fair, equitable, and transparent. It is our goal to provide a market-based compensation program that addresses unfair historical pay gaps based on race and gender. Our salary ranges are available to all of our employees, and we sponsor an external pay equity analysis every year to ensure parity among those who perform similar work.
Comprehensive medical, vision and dental insurance for employees, spouses / domestic partners and dependent children, with 100% of monthly premiums paid by the foundation. The foundation also covers co-pays and provides a generous HSA benefit.
Paid Time Off : Employees receive a generous sick leave benefit as well as unlimited paid time off. In addition to 12 recognized U.S. holidays, the foundation also enjoys a paid holiday week between December 24 and January 1, as well as the full week of Fourth of July. After seven years of good service, employees can take a five-week 100 percent paid sabbatical.
Foundation contributes 5% of the employee’s gross earnings to a 403(b) retirement plan and will match up to an additional 5% (up to the IRS maximum). Immediately vested. Qualifying employees can also contribute to a 457 retirement account (up to the IRS maximum).
