This individual will be a key player in our organization's efforts to leverage technology to solve business challenges and improve processes. Job Description
Olsson is growing! We are seeking to add a Business Systems Analyst to our team. This individual will be a key player in our organization's efforts to leverage technology to solve business challenges and improve processes. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and business acumen to identify and implement technology solutions that support our firm's objectives and innovation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Understand and document business models and processes, and how each interacts with technology.
- Requirements Analysis: Work with business partners to elicit, analyze, and document business analytical requirements.
- Efficiency Improvement: Seek ways to improve efficiency or synchronize cross-team efforts using technology.
- Solution Identification: Help define, research, identify, and promote new technology solutions that support business needs or solve challenges.
- Solution Design: Work with key IT, business owners, and external subject matter experts and stakeholders, to lead the design, test, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Integration and Collaboration: Serve as an integrator and work with key personnel to solve business challenges or create technical solutions.
- Emerging Technologies: Stay current on new and emerging technologies and how they might solve business challenges.
- Lifecycle Responsibilities: Help define responsibilities in the lifecycle of developed systems including IT and business ownership responsibilities and roles.
Qualifications
You bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related field.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) .
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) helpful.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT Infrastructure.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in business.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
