Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Construction Engineer to work on an initial 1-year contract in Carlsbad, NM.

- bachelor degree in engineering or construction science
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), capable of navigating 3D models of facilities
- Knowledgeable in construction safety and able to be a strong contributor to the Safety culture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in basic oil and gas separation, processing, and compression
- Strong knowledge of piping codes/standards, material grades, and typical construction practices
- Able to coordinate efforts of multi-discipline teams
- Ability to understand/review engineering deliverables such as P&ID’s, Isometrics, Electrical One Lines
- General knowledge in civil construction and E&I construction Job
- Primarily reports to the Construction Manager and assists Construction Superintendents in the following:
- Reviewing of construction planning
- Reviewing and approving hydrotest packages
- Compile information from Construction Supts and produce weekly construction reporting
- Engaging with Engineering phase to provide constructability input
- Coordination of interfaces between Projects and other organizations such as Operations and Drilling
- As requested, drive special initiatives such as Safety, Mechanical Completion, Quality from development through implementation
