Job Title: Qualified Electrician Location: Wolverhampton/Birmingham Area Employer: Housing/Student Association Hourly Rate: £20 per hour Shifts: Odd days, minimum 7.5-hour shifts Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team, supporting a housing and student association in the Wolverhampton/Birmingham area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems within our properties. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment. Install, inspect, and test electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and appliances. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing effective solutions. Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues. Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed. Provide excellent customer service to and staff.Qualifications and Skills: Valid electrician certification and relevant qualifications. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a residential or student housing setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
