Business Development Director Automotive Engineering Services
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales revenue from engineering services within the North American automotive sector. This role focuses on selling Product Engineering Services (PES) to clients in the Transportation-Automotive segment, with an emphasis on building and maintaining strategic relationships at the CXO level and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and exceed sales revenue targets by securing new contracts and building robust customer relationships.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the automotive engineering domain.
- Accurately forecast and achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue goals while monitoring growth metrics.
- Engage with senior executives (CXO level) to penetrate new markets and establish strategic partnerships.
- Lead negotiations on contractual terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with client expectations and internal capabilities.
- Collaborate with proposal and technical teams to ensure seamless project hand-offs and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Identify areas for improvement in sales processes and proactively implement changes to enhance efficiency and success.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of offshore and global delivery models to align with client needs.
- Experience: 10-15 years overall, with 5-10 years of proven business development experience in the US market.
- Domain Expertise: At least 4-6 years of hands-on experience in selling engineering services to the automotive sector is essential.
- Leadership: Team management experience is a strong plus.
- Skills: Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.
