General Summary
Serve as an integral teammate in managing Energy Northwest’s leadership development programs. Provide oversight and manage leadership training including assessment of leadership effectiveness to ensure leader performance meets industry standards of excellence. Includes development and implementation of training for managers, supervisors, and others involved in succession planning or leader development to ensure readiness to lead effectively. Involves both strategic and tactical position responsibilities for systematically identifying the training and development needs of Energy Northwest leaders and scheduling, developing, coordinating, and implementing the necessary training. Provide recommendations, coaching, and consulting with management in determining training needs, and training material development and implementation. Help lead continuous improvement in EN’s programs to ensure they embody industry best practices.
Principal Accountabilities
Leadership training
Develop, coordinate and implement Energy Northwest’s initial and continuing Manager and Supervisor Training Program, including providing instruction to all levels of leadership.
Effectively manage and/or support various leadership programs that help EN offer excellence in leadership development (e.g., leadership assessments, mentoring programs, leadership development plans, succession planning, etc.).
Guidance, feedback & coaching
Support organizational efforts and serve in an on-call role for EN’s Emergency Response Organization.
Serve in an outage and/or pre-outage role as needed to support EN’s biannual refueling outages.
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field from an accredited college or university and ten years of experience in training and development.
OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and twelve years of experience in the areas of training/training development experience;
OR a High School diploma/GED and fourteen years of experience in training/training development experience.
Supervisory experience, or exempt-level experience in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, or Organizational Development may be substituted for years of training and development experience.

Pay Range
$136,961.00 - $205,441.00 Annual
Midpoint
$171,201.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Incentive Compensation
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.

Principal Accountabilities

Develop, coordinate and implement Energy Northwest’s initial and continuing Manager and Supervisor Training Program, including providing instruction to all levels of leadership.
- Ensure the requirements of 10 CFR 50.120, Training and Qualification of Nuclear Power Plant Personnel, are met within the Program, utilizing the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) model.
- Maintain alignment of the Program to pertinent INPO accredited programs and other related documents and guides (ACAD 97-004, Guidelines for Shift Manager Selection, Training and Qualification, and Professional Development, INPO 17-001, Guidelines for First-Line Supervisor Training and Development, and Performance Objectives and Criteria).
- Develop and/or coordinate the development of complex training programs and training materials to support the needs of the Manager/Supervisor Program. This includes contracting with outside vendors and vendor oversight. Identify and work with stakeholders to complete performance and needs analysis for Training Requests.
- Organize, schedule, and conduct initial and continuing training for managers and supervisors. Plan, coordinate, and oversee the activities of other program trainers/SMEs, providing feedback, coaching and guidance to support program goals.
- Review program effectiveness using a variety of assessment methods (e.g., student and instructor feedback, management observations, self-assessments) and incorporate results to improve the program.
- Coordinate training support activities associated with the Management Training Advisory Group (TAG).
- Coordinate, maintain, monitor, and communicate manager and supervisor qualification status.
- Contribute to the development and management of the Program budget. Function as the Technical Representative on training-related contracts.
- Maintain Program-related procedures and Job Familiarization guides.
- Evaluate and recommend non-company training solutions, such as seminars, off the shelf training and schools to be used to provide targeted management and leadership skills.
Effectively manage and/or support various leadership programs that help EN offer excellence in leadership development (e.g., leadership assessments, mentoring programs, leadership development plans, succession planning, etc.).
Guidance, feedback & coaching
- Make recommendations to management identifying areas for performance improvement intervention and training for agency leaders
- Perform assessments of leadership potential for those identified through succession planning, or related activities
- Perform assessments of leadership and teamwork behavior attributes outlined in industry excellence documents
- Prepare data analysis related to leadership development and offer guidance on trends, recommend best practices and solutions, and help identify concerns
- Perform and document observations
- Provide feedback and/or coaching to leaders at all levels
