Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Propane Service Technician who will safely install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair propane appliances and systems according to industry standards. In this role, you will educate customers on the safe use and maintenance of propane appliances, ensuring the highest levels of safety and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance:
- Safely install, maintain, and repair propane appliances and systems for residential and commercial customers.
- Inspect and operate truck-mounted cranes in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with propane systems in a timely and effective manner.
- Make critical decisions regarding system safety, including taking systems out of service when necessary.
- Customer Service:
- Educate customers on proper operation, maintenance, and safety of propane appliances and equipment.
- Promote the benefits of LP gas by suggesting additional uses and highlighting the quality and dependability of our services.
- Vehicle & Equipment Operation:
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, including driving a bulk truck for gas delivery as needed.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues according to company policies and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Physical Demands:
- Engage in repetitive and strenuous tasks, including lifting, carrying, and hiking over rough terrain with equipment.
- Pull delivery hoses and fittings from the company vehicle to customer tanks as required.

- Physical Ability:
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Driving & Licensing:
- Must hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B) in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, with the following endorsements: air brakes, hazardous materials, and tanker.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in propane services or a related field is preferred, though comprehensive training is available.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
