What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Roofing Forman position at Energy Roofing?
As a Commercial Roofing Foreman, you will be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient oversight of a Commercial Roofing Installation Team to assure all jobs are completed in an excellent, timely and profitable manner. You will work alongside your Team as the primary decision maker on the roof while providing clear direction on the project. You will report directly to the Commercial Operations Manager and/or Project Manager. You will also participate in the development, enactment, and enforcement of company policy and procedures regarding commercial roofing projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Examine Work Order with Project Manager prior to beginning any job.
- Examine and ensure all materials are on site. Check bills of lading on materials delivered to the job site to assure accuracy.
- Report any missing needed materials, items, trash receptacle, porta potties, etc to the Project Manager.
- Assure all safety measures are deployed prior to beginning work and daily safety compliance is maintained.
- Have and maintain the job site safety book provided by Project Manager.
- Have two weather apps and the OSHA Heat App on the phone and check before scheduling work, breaks or stopping for the evening to plan ahead for the safety of the team, protection of the property, and materials.
- Direct team and help install a quality, code compliant and manufacturer approved roofing system.
- Daily direct clean up and trash removal to maintain professional jobsite appearance.
- Ensure the roof is sealed and water-tight prior to leaving for the evening or at any time.
- Secure all equipment and tools each day.
- Assure all job progress notes and photos are uploaded to JobNimbus daily.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to schedule in progress inspections and final inspections.
- Alert Project Manager to readiness for manufacturer’s inspection.
- Create and insure continuous training and momentum for the team.
- Evaluate the team development and performance with the Project Manager.
- Communicate with the Project Manager about needs or improvements that can be made so jobs run more safely, efficiently and profitably.
- Schedule and complete final walkthrough with the Project Manager to assure all punch list items are completed and quality assurance checklist is completed.
- Complete emergency repairs, manufacturer punch list items, and any other job related issues that may be identified.
- Communicates, coordinates, and cooperates with other members of the ERC Team to facilitate all necessary job functions and deliver exceptional experience to clients.
- Contributes to the improvement and development of best practices by offering ideas to improve operational effectiveness.
- Participate in any activity deemed necessary to support the company mission.
