What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician Residential Division position at Energy Roofing?
Job Summary:
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing quality roof repairs in an efficiency and effective manner. You will report directly to the Commercial Production Manager and participate in the development, enactment, and enforcement of company policy and procedures regarding service projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform general roof inspections, repairs, installations, and maintenance as assigned.
- Complete weekly payroll log to be turned in every week to Accounting.
- Maintain material and equipment inventory of stock assigned for service related projects.
- Assure all job related information and required photos are uploaded to operational software.
- Perform temporary or warranty related repairs as assigned.
- Investigates warranty claims on previous roof replacements as assigned.
- Communicates, coordinates, and cooperates with other members of the ERC Team to facilitate all necessary job functions and deliver exceptional experience to clients.
- Contribute to the improvement and development of best practices by offering ideas to improve operational effectiveness.
- Participate in any activity deemed necessary to support the company mission.
Skills Required:
- Ability to positively interact with customers and team members.
- Maintain organized, efficient, and safe work habits.
- Ability to climb ladders and get on roofs to perform repairs.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is a plus.
- Roofing experience of 2 years preferred but not required. We will train.
Physical Requirements:
- Strength and Endurance: Must be able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more) and work long hours in a physically demanding environment
- Balance and Coordination: Must be comfortable working at heights, often on ladders, scaffolds, or rooftops, while maintaining balance and stability
- Dexterity: Must have strong hand-eye coordination for using tools, measuring, and installing roofing materials with precision
- Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy environments, while remaining focused and productive
- Flexibility and Agility: Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, and climb without difficulty completing roofing tasks
