Job Description: Energy Efficiency Navigator

Energy Savers Network is seeking a passionate and versatile Energy Efficiency Navigator to join our small but impactful team. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our low-income community members by providing access to energy efficiency upgrades and education. This role is perfect for someone who is mission-driven, enjoys hands-on work, and thrives in a dynamic environment. We strongly prefer a candidate fluent in both English and Spanish so that we can also serve the Latino community.

Role Overview:

As an Energy Efficiency Navigator, you will play a crucial role in delivering our mission. You will be an integral member of the team reporting to the Director of Operations. Because we are a small team, you would be expected to be available for tasks in any part of what we do depending on client and team needs at the time along with the skills you bring to the table and develop over time. These tasks will include:

  • Client Recruiting, Support & Advocacy: Guide clients through the program process, assist with paperwork, and answer questions. Help us get new clients.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Assist clients with application processes and navigate program requirements.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately document project details, client interactions, and data needed for Salesforce and Quickbooks, our enterprise management systems.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community events and outreach efforts to promote energy efficiency as well as to recruit volunteers, clients, and donors. Contribute to the development of educational materials and outreach strategies.
  • Hands-on Weatherization: Perform weatherization tasks at client sites, such as air sealing, insulation installation, and minor repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to energy efficiency and community service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., email, data entry, spreadsheets)
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Salesforce, Quickbooks, and Google Workspace is desirable, as is experience in construction, weatherization, building science and related fields.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. You will need your own computer and smartphone.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a significant plus. Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Pluses include customer service experience and/or experience working with low-income or underserved populations.

Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour
