About Us: Energy Select is a leading renewable energy company in Maryland dedicated to providing LED lighting solutions to commercial customers. We have been installing lighting for over 10 years and we are proud to have a team of experienced electricians and installers that are ready to train individuals who are willing to learn. We install commercial LED lighting primarily in Allegany and Garrett Counties.
Position Overview: We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Lead or General Installer. As a lead, you will be responsible for the overall installation of the job and corresponding documentation. The project will be sold and designed by our sales team and material will be delivered to the installation site. The Lead Lighting Installer will be provided with a company truck. As a General Installer, you would be responsible for assisting the lead with installation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the installation of interior and exterior LED lighting for commercial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications to pass both county and utility inspections
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process.
- Coordinate daily activities to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a smaller team and assist other crews when needed
- Be comfortable with working from ladders and mechanical lifts.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough quality inspections to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship.
Customer Interaction:
- Interact with clients to explain the installation process, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Generally, no previous electrical experience is required. You will be trained in all aspects of the position when hired. Experience in a trade would be beneficial.
Technical skills after training include:
- In-depth knowledge of LED fixtures, lights, and installation steps.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
- Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

- Knowledge of and adherence to industry safety standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
