About Us: Energy Select is a leading renewable energy company in Southern Maryland dedicated to providing sustainable solar solutions to residential and commercial customers. We have been installing solar for the past 8 years as well as performing electrical work such as performing LED retrofits, for the past 20 years.
We offer many services including solar, LED lighting, service O&M, EV charger installation, and home efficiency. We are constantly looking for qualified and dedicated individuals to help grow the company as well as their career.
Position Overview: We are currently recruiting driven individuals to join our solar and lighting installation teams for various positions, including electricians, electrical helpers, and solar panel installers. Candidates with any level of electrical or solar experience are strongly encouraged to apply. We are primarily looking for someone now that would be able to assist our solar crew and our head electrician with running wire, installing panels and rails, working in main service panels, and commissioning the system.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties from start to finish
- Assist with all stages of installation including electrical wiring, running conduit, working in the main service panel, and installing panels on roofs and ground mounts
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process.
- Coordinate daily activities to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines and follow directions of leads/project manager.
- Ability to work as part of a smaller team and also assisting other crews when needed
- Wiring of electric vehicle charging stations
- Conduct thorough quality inspections to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship.
- Implement best practices to maximize system efficiency and performance.
- Represent the company in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
Experience:
Experience with solar power systems, inverters, and electrical components or equivalent knowledge in an electrical field that could be transferred to solar
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for installation.
Electrical license or certification is a plus.
Knowledge or certifications in Enphase PV systems are a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
