About Us: Energy Select is a leading renewable energy company in Maryland dedicated to providing sustainable solar solutions to residential and commercial customers. We have been installing solar for the past 9 years and we are proud to have a team of experienced electricians and installers that are ready to train individuals who are willing to learn. We have recently opened a branch in Western, Maryland and are looking for dedicated team players to help grow.
Position Overview: We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Lead solar installer. As a lead, you will be responsible for the electrical wiring and execution of the PV systems. You will execute engineered plans to install and connect PV systems to homes and businesses.
Responsibilities:
PV System Installation:
- Execute the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties from start to finish including installation of panels, tying into the main service panel, and commissioning the system
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications to pass both county and utility inspections
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process.
- Coordinate daily activities to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a smaller team and also assist other crews when needed
- Wiring of electric vehicle charging stations
- Lead or be trained to lead a crew of solar installers, providing guidance and technical expertise.
- Represent the company in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven track record of successfully leading or installing PV installation projects or relevant electrical experience with knowledge of wiring, AC/DC power supply, pulling wire, tapping into Main Service Panels, and running conduit
- In-depth knowledge of solar power systems, inverters, and electrical components or equivalent knowledge in the electrical field that could be transferred to solar
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for installation.
- Knowledge or certifications in Enphase PV systems are a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
