We are looking for a full-time mechanic for our Carson, CA (LAX) location. Rate of Pay: $22.00 to $27.00 depending on experience
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly motivated mechanic to join the A-Team at Energy Transport Logistics. Our mechanics are responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing our class 8 trailers to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on trailing equipment, in compliance with the manufacturers and company schedules.
• Perform preventative maintenance; FHWA / D.O.T / CAL BIT.
• Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on or under parts of trailers.
• Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems.
• Apply knowledge and work in accordance with all Federal and State regulations.
• Inspect, and replace brake systems to include chambers, slack adjusters, and brake cam bushings.
• Document discrepancies and repairs.
• Assist with minor facility maintenance as necessary.
Qualifications
COMPETENCIES
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair, or 3 years verifiable, industry experience.
• Excellent problem solving skills & communication skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Eager to learn/ Fast learner & ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good work ethic.
• Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems preferred.
• Brake inspector certified.
• Experience with various hand tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs., unassisted.
• Welding or fabrication experience (preferred).
