- Perform all job duties safely according to job requirements.
- Perform craft-related math.
- Demonstrate proper use and care of craft-related hand tools.
- Assist with crane movement and setup using hand signals.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure good housekeeping.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Perform light rigging (under 10 tons).
- Perform heavy rigging (over 10 tons).
- Setting up, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment machinery.
- Selecting the appropriate rigging gear.
- Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved.
- Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.
- Perform cleanup duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience.
- Prior nuclear power plant experience, highly desired.
- NCCER or NCCCO Certification
- Must be able to obtain nuclear unescorted access, including fitness for duty requirements.
- Successful completion of all training including, Radiation Worker Training, Plant Access Training, Fitness for Duty, etc.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble objects and operate small equipment and power tools.
- Availability for shift work, if needed.
- Ability to support other crafts as requested.
- Ability to work at varying heights, in cramped quarters, extreme heat and/or cold, and loud environments (above 89 decibels).
- Knowledge of relevant processes and procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain knowledge of technical manuals and procedures.
- Ability to pass specific training and qualifications.
- Willingness to work overtime, including shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to pass all background and screening requirements, including drug and/or alcohol screening.
- Visual acuity, balancing, stooping, reaching, walking, manual dexterity, grasping, feeling, hearing, talking.
- Capacity to think, concentrate, and focus for long periods.
- Ability to read and write complex documents in English.
