Responsibilities:
As a Sr. HSSE Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Driving HSSE culture that prevents injuries, illness, and damage from occurring.
- Developing and implementing company-wide HSSE initiatives.
- Training new employees on safety, environmental, and security issues.
- Ensuring tasks are furnished with suitable and sufficient hazard/risk assessments, documented, and communicated.
- Developing and executing site-specific HSSE plans, including Key Performance Indicator scorecards.
- Developing and improving policies, procedures, and work instructions to reflect changing operational circumstances, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Leading and participating in incident learning teams, facilitating root cause analysis, and drafting lessons learned reports.
- Facilitating communication through site and regional HSSE forums/meetings.
- Assisting with drafting compliance reports, including OSHA, EPA, and DNR documentation.
