Job Purpose
Our EnerSys / ABSL operation based in Longmont, CO is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for the production of state-of-the-art Li-Ion batteries. You will work closely with a dynamic team on the front lines of space component technology and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviewing flight hardware drawings to ensure design for manufacturability and compliance with internal and external standards
- Supporting new design programs and providing input to complex manufacturing issues
- Generating assembly work instructions for complex tasks
- Preparing and making revision changes to manufacturing documentation and processes to improve product quality and procedures
- Designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing tooling for battery builds and associated systems
- Providing CAD drafting and design support for manufacturing
