Senior Operations Manager
We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role that requires strategic thinking and strong operational skills.
Job Purpose
The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for planning safe and efficient production operations that meet company profit and customer delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling: Schedule manufacturing activities effectively to produce and deliver on-time.
- Contingency Planning: Prepare contingency schedules to reduce impacts from resource deficiencies.
- Resource Allocation: Review schedules with program management, manufacturing departments, production control, purchasing and engineering to ensure resource availability and on-time deliveries.
- Inventory Management: Work with Inventory Control, Purchasing and Suppliers to ensure adequate inventory to support production schedule.
- Process Improvement: Identify, evaluate and initiate cost reduction opportunities using 6-Sigma and Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Facilities and Maintenance: Over-see facilities and maintenance operations.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma required; Bachelor's in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Experience: 10 years of experience in technical mixed high/low volume manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Knowledge in constraint theory for manufacturing, ability to read, write and understand English, basic understanding and communication skills with Spanish.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
