Job Purpose
The Corporate Transportation Analyst will support the movement of product, materials and irregular expedited transportation requirements. Transportation Analyst oversees the timely delivery of goods. Maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure deliveries are met. Update and provide tracking information to internal requestors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. A primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the Logistics department.
2. Resolving daily Freight & Logistics operational issues related to transportation management (user training, freight discrepancies, track & trace).
3. Operational duties to include coordination with carriers, freight forwarders, internal sites and suppliers.
4. Maintaining strong lines of communication with Procurement, Plants, Distribution Centers, business units, key customer groups, Corporate Operations Control and other relevant departments.
5. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and site profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings / services / carriers.
6. Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies.
7. Resolve issues respective to meeting site requirements, data input, general service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.
8. Maintain and analyze KPI's.
9. Ability to recommend changes to carrier onboarding, connections or workflows based on changing business conditions.
10. Ability to summarize and communicate concisely both verbal and written to all levels of the organization internally and externally.

Education and / or Experience
- High School diploma.
- Transportation, freight forwarding, shipping or warehouse background preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in Logistics.
