Job Purpose

The Variant Configuration Analyst position will be part of the Global Application Engineering organization. This position will be focused on project / production support activities. The position requires an in-depth understanding of the impact of engineering data on manufacturing processes and variant configuration.  VC  Analyst will liaison with the Master Data team, SAP Program team and business unit process owners in order to identify, define, document and configure / process solutions in SAP. The ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere effectively is critical.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The VC  Analyst will interface and work closely with Program Management, Design Engineering, Application Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Logistics Centers to build and maintain an SAP configuration tool.
• Creating and maintaining the Variant Configuration data using relational tables and coded procedures.
• Develop variant configuration models from scratch that adhere to EnerSys’ established structure, global standards for design and associated reporting structure.
• Understand material variants and how they may be applied in a non-standard manner.
• Analyze large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
• Supporting the identification, designing and implementation of internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
• Support variant configuration development and SAP Master data information.
• Possesses the ability to organize activities, set priorities and handle multiple tasks.
• Support audit and compliance efforts.
• Other duties assigned.
