Top / lead level operator who may have a focus on the supervisory aspects of the position. Incumbents require an in-depth knowledge of production facilities including all areas of battery operations, compressor stations, well performance, storage facilities, etc. Work is conducted independently.
- Exercises judgment in the selection of work methods.
- Provides work guidance, direction, and performance evaluation to more junior operators.
- As lead hand, will usually spend a large portion of time supervising contract or maintenance crews.
- May provide leadership on a self-directed multi-disciplinary work team.
- Acts as a relief for field foreman.
- Reports all spills and accidents to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Usual qualifications include a high school diploma with a minimum of 8 years related experience.
Progression to this level is typically vacancy driven.
