Solution Architecture

• Design and architect end-to-end data solutions, leveraging Python for data processing, transformation, and analysis to support PG&E's operational and analytical needs.
• Develop and optimize data pull workflows from multiple sources, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.
• Create modular, reusable, and maintainable code structures to streamline development efforts across teams.

Data Management

• Build and maintain SQL-based solutions, including advanced querying, indexing, and stored procedures, to support data integration and reporting requirements.
• Implement and oversee ETL pipelines for efficient data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into data lakes, warehouses, or analytics platforms.

DevOps and Containerization

• Utilize Docker to containerize Python applications and streamline deployment processes, ensuring portability and consistency across environments.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated builds, testing, and deployments.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Act as the primary technical liaison between development teams, business stakeholders, and data architects to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and architectural discussions to ensure high-quality solutions.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• SQL Expertise: Advanced skills in database management, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker for application containerization and deployment.
• Data Workflow Design: Proven experience in data pulling, ETL pipeline development, and automation.
• DevOps Integration: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and design scalable solutions.
